WHAT THE HELL IS
THEATRE ON CONSIGNMENT? Good question. It's a few things: 1) It's the theatrical arm of Films On Consignment, producing several plays a year. 2) It's a venue for plays that are experimental, controversial, cutting-edge-- or that just aren't frequently produced. 3) It's a showcase for exciting new actors, writers, and directors, committed to ensemble collaboration and artistic risk. 4) It's an intense, personal theatrical experience in an intimate space. 5) It's a celebration of the intelligence of the actor, the vision of the director, the words of the playwright and the power of the theatre. 6) It's the one theatre in Wichita where you're in no danger of having to sit through Oklahoma again.
