DATING GAMES Theatre On Consignment will conclude its 2009 season with Dating Games, the hilarious collection of one-scene plays by Garth Wingfield. The show will run May 14, 15, & 16 and 21, 22, & 23 at 8:00 pm. Garth Wingfield's Dating Games examines the lighter side of the often scary world of dating through five short comedies. Each vignette focuses on a different variety of daters and their eccentricities when it comes to the process of finding romance. Mary has a series of miserable first dates, each guy worse than the last. Henry meets an old crush at his reunion. Kevin tries everything he can think of to get the shy guy. And Holly goes on a date with a woman – for the first time. The show stars Careth Eaton, Mike Bocovich, Michael Webber, Susan Guntly, Rachel Meier, Viviano Legoretta, Justin France, and Anna Perleberg. Leslie Seaton and Cherice Henderson direct, with Rebekah Rine and Henderson producing. Set design is by Seaton, lighting design is by Clarence Nickelson, and sound design is by Mallory Rine. Rebekah Rine is prop designer, and Jeremy Biltz is house manager. Dating Games is for mature audiences, and includes some strong language and adult themes. Performances are at First Metropolitan Community Church, 156 S. Kansas St. Ticket prices are $10 for general public and $8 for seniors, students, and military. Tickets are $1 off with a River Festival button. For reservations, call (316) 613-3385. |
